Rangpur won the best writer award in South Korea

Staff Reporter Md. Roknuzzaman Rokon, a young writer from Rangpur, won the Best Writer 2020 award in South Korea. The Best Writer 2020 competition organized by EPS Sports and Welfare Organization (ISO), a popular social organization in South Korea, was selected on Tuesday on the basis of a competition based on literature in Korean, English and Bengali. Around 2,000 writers from different countries who know Korean and English, including expatriate Bengalis living in Korea, participated in the competition. Md. Roknuzzaman Rokon was selected as the best writer on Bengali literature for his poem “Probas Mrityu”.
Md. Roknuzzaman Rokon is the eldest son of Afshar Ali and Rekha Begum in Sheikhpara village of Rangpur district. He wrote poetry, stories, plays, novels and other branches of literature at the same time. His writings are regularly published in various national dailies and magazines. He established Rabiul Smriti Sahitya Kendra. Associated with various literary organizations and social organizations.
Meanwhile, Wadud Ali, convener of the Rangpur Division Development Movement Council and a successful organizer of the intercity train Rangpur Express movement and a prolific journalist, congratulated the young writer Md.
